The Center for Progressive Leadership (CPL) is a national political training institute that develops diverse leaders who can effectively advance progressive political and policy change.

Through long-term, comprehensive programs for organizational leaders, political professionals, activists and future candidates, CPL provides promising leaders with the skills, resources, and networks needed to become powerful progressive leaders.

CPL and the CPL Action Network has trained over 4,000 diverse progressive leaders through intensive, nonpartisan leadership programs primarily in our state offices. CPL trains, mentors, and coaches high-potential leaders at every level of political involvement, including:

• Organization Leaders
• Future Candidates and Elected Officials
• Campaign Professionals
• Community Organizers and Grassroots Activists
• Policy, Government and Media Leaders

Political Leaders Fellowship
CPL’s State Political Leaders Fellowship, a 9-month, part-time program for promising future elected officials, organizational leaders and advocates, helps to fill the gap in the progressive leadership pipeline.
