Personal Motivation: Throughout my career, my major goal is to work towards one or the major principles that this country was founded on: equal opportunity.

I have come to realize that it was nearly impossible to help improve an individual's educational opportunities healthcare, Medicare, or employment situation when there is not a solid base of funding for the programs that were meant to provide assistance in these areas. My frustration about the political negligence of low income and underprivileged society is what motivates me to pursue a career in politics.

Current Positions: I am working on several local campaigns in the Pittsburgh area and am going to be participating in a federal internship in Washington in the spring.

Leadership Interests: Initially, I am hoping to pursue a career within city council or some other local legislative position.

However, my long-term goal is to run for Congress. I have a deep interest in international, human and civil rights and environmental policy and I believe being a member of congress would provide me with the influence and power that is needed to shape policies in those areas.
