Sara Pfannl

Smith College

Sara Pfannl graduated in 2005 from Smith College with a BA in Anthropology and a minor in Government.  She spent the last year as an intern at the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations in the Emergency Relief and Rehabilitation Departemnt, Africa Desk. 

She is interested in working for an organization that is active locally and internationally in the fields of peace and human and civil rights.  Above all, she wants to work with people from diverse backgrounds to introduce positive change through education, organizing and activism. 

Sara feels passionately about social and economic justice as a necessary basis for freedom and democracy, and hopes to play a role in educating and organizing at the grassroots level, as well as in influencing public opinion and policy-making.
