Wellesley College, Class of 2008

As a first-generation Indian Immigrant, Roheeni Saxena is a junior at Wellesley College, double majoring in Peace and Justice Studies and Neuroscience.

At the end of undergrad, Roheeni hopes to work in a think tank and is primarily interested in the promotion of international cooperation, prevention of human rights violations, women’s sexual health issues, and gay rights.

She “firmly believes that the pathway to a more just and peaceful governance is through the understanding and appreciation of cultural, intra-national, and international differences.”  On campus, Roheeni is the secretary of the Wellesley Association for South Asian Cultures, a disc jockey, and a singer for the A Cappella group, among many other activities.
