Fellowship Track: Non-Profit Leadership/Advocacy

Motivation:  I was first motivated to serve in community development by a profound burden for the needs of minority communities in the world, some of whom are in danger of being overwhelmed to the point of extinction.  The more I served in leadership in faith-based community development helping such communities preserve, value and share their cultures through language development, literacy and translation, the more I was convinced of the great need for leaders, policy developers and advocates in a wide variety of other areas of need.  Four key areas of concern for me include addressing hunger, poverty, and access to health care and to higher education (especially in science and technology).

Leadership Interests:  My leadership interests include strategic planning, policy development, program evaluation and training in non-profit efforts related to the four key areas of concern mentioned above.  In the CPL Fellowship, I'm exciting to be adding valuable new knowledge and leadership skills relevant to these goals.
