Fellowship Track:  Non-Profit Organization Leadership

Motivation: I began my work with non-profits after discovering my passion for student organizing.  After four years of fighting for LGBT students on a very conservative campus, I realized that it would be a lifelong fight for me.  When I moved to Tucson I hoped that I would find a community to call home.  I found it in the strong non-profit organizations, the collaborative spirit of Tucson’s community organizers.  Being in Southern Arizona has renewed my passion to fight injustice, to connect the struggles of many progressive movements, and to become a leader.

Volunteer Highlights: Every Voice in Action Foundation, Program Committee; National Association of Social Workers

Leadership Interests: There are two main areas of leadership I would like to explore through the Fellowship:  Leading a non-profit and running for office.
