Justin Williams Tucson
Profession: Executive Director for the Aerospace, Manufacturing and Information Technology Cluster
Fellowship Track: Non-profit Organization Leadership
Motivation: I see an opportunity to build a community among the disparate members of the technology, scientific and business communities. While many of these fields are dominated by conservative voices and ideas, I believe that many progressive ideas are valued within this community and we need to frame the debates on these central issues around our values (improved educations, fair and competitive markets, valuing small business, energy needs, etc.). As a soon-to-be first time father, I see even more passionately the need to act to affect positive change in our world.
Leadership Interests: As a result of my role in the high-tech business community, I’ve seen that many progressive ideas are critical to the success of this community. These very same ideas are also central to improving our national status as a world leader. My experience, position, network and background put me in a position to some day run a state legislative office.
CPL-AZ Mentor: Michelle Crow; Legislative Aide/Community Liaison for Congressman Raul M. Grijalva
