Personal Values: There is a drastic need for change in our political climate. The moral fiber of politics is wearing thin. There is a drastic need for changes in economic welfare, social issues such as racial and women’s issues and education.
Our environment is being trashed by the current administration, as is our status as a world leader. Medical needs are unmet for many of our population. Terrorism is a greater threat than ever before and it’s simply because there is no sense of relationship with the rest of the world in the minds of Washington. It is frightening, and I want to be part of making it different. Each of us has the opportunity to take our power in this country and I am going to work my hardest to encourage each and every person to be represented in government.
Leadership Interests:I will be running for public office. Initially my goal is to run for City Counsel in Grand Rapids. There is an open seat for the Michigan House in 2008 that I’d like to look at, as well. I am open to many options, but I am willing to work hard to campaign and work in political office in some capacity. I have worked hard for several candidates in the 2006 elections and am getting my feet wet in a big way. The future is open to all sorts of possibilities.
