Ms. Donna Johnson Bullock, Esq. has a strong commitment to service which she credits to her childhood connection to a soup kitchen, where her family once sought help. In return, Ms. Bullock has volunteered for Elijah’s Promise Soup Kitchen for over 15 years and has served as a Board Member for 3 years. Ms. Bullock then went on to serve the nonprofit community by volunteering and working for numerous organizations.
Ms. Bullock is a staff attorney and intake supervisor at Community Legal Services in Philadelphia, where she provides free legal representation to nonprofit organizations, small businesses and community groups. Ms. Bullock’s past work experience includes, Middlesex County Youth Advocate Programs (Director), Middlesex County Legal Services, and Greater Germantown Recreation Network.
Ms. Bullock currently serves on several coalitions and is an active board member for Family Care Solutions, West Philadelphia Child Care Network (President) and the Mayor’s Office of Community Service.
Ms. Bullock and her husband reside in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood of North Philadelphia, where they are role models to dozens of neighborhood children. The couple consciously bought a home in this distressed neighborhood with the intent of becoming true “community lawyers”, using their legal skills to help their community. The couple’s commitment was highlighted in the 2004 City of Philadelphia Neighborhood Transformation Initiative Report
Ms. Bullock is a 2000 graduate of Rutgers University and received her JD from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2003. She is a member of both the PA and NJ bars. She has received numerous honors and awards, including Neighborhood Transformation Initiative Ambassador, Equal Justice Works Fellowship, Women’s Way Agent of Change, Temple Public Interest Scholar, and the Philadelphia Barristers Association/ PNC Bank Community Service Award.
Ms. Bullock has also participated in the Center for Progressive Leadership Pennsylvania Fellowship, Women’s Way Pipeline Project and the Voices for America’s Children’s Child Advocacy Leadership Institute.
