What is YouthTrain?
Youth Train is a two-hour nation-wide training event for young progressive leaders across the country. Its a chance for youth leaders to come together, work on their organizing skills, pass their experiences on to up-and-coming new leaders, and gain momentum for the activism this spring.
When is it?

How do I become a host?
We are looking for hosts right now. Our goal is to have 50 YouthTrains take place on campuses and in cities all over the country. Registration to be a host will be open on February 27th. If you want to be a host, click here to sign up and host one on your campus or in your community.
Who is going to attend the events?
YouthTrain is being hosted by passionate progressive organizers all over the country...and the hosts are going to reach out to their communities to bring together a group of experienced organizers, new leaders, and other students and young people who want to get better at mobilizing people around their progressive issues.
Who is putting it on?
YouthTrain is a program being organized by leading progressive youth groups, including Campus Climate Challenge, Young People For, Campus Camp Wellstone, Gender PAC, Campus Progress, and more.
What is topic?
The evening will focus on how we can get more people involved in our campaigns and issues...including:
- How to recruit volunteers
- How to get young people to get involved in your campaign
- How to keep people excited and involved
- How to build leaders in your organization
You'll also get to hear some stories of new techniques and ideas that have worked, listen to stories from youth leaders from around the country and get a chance to ask questions!
Will there be more?
The goal is to have more YouthTrains on different topics...look for more opportunites to be a part of them next fall!
Does it cost anything?
The event is free of cost...the only requirements are to find a space, be able to project the training video, watch the live webcast, and pass out a few hand outs.
