The training will focus on how we can get more people involved in our campaigns and issues...including:

  • How to recruit volunteers
  • Why volunteers get involved
  • How to make the ask
  • Best ways to keep people excited and engaged
  • How to build leaders in your campaign or group

You'll also get to hear some stories of new techniques and ideas that have worked, listen to stories from youth leaders from around the country and get a chance to ask questions!

YouthTrain will start with a 25 minute training video that features youth organizers and leaders from around the country talking about the challenge of their peers to care and get involved in issues and campaigns...they'll share some of their experiences, lessons learned, and best tools for getting people involved and keeping them excited!

After the training video, all the YouthTrains around the country will join a live webcast (or join in through a conference call) for an event that will feature 4-5 young leaders having a live discussion about the same issues.

They'll answer questions from other young leaders facing the same challenges...as well as answer questions from the YouthTrains all over the country who can submit questions online!
